After 150 days of laughter, tears, epic lines and great fears, an unlikely victory was now on final glide and I could finally begin to relax. Scratching out of a no-landing cut block only 20 minutes earlier, a weak climb, though strong for this weak day, gave me everything I needed to let the Monarca Expedition rest as a notable notch in history, where it belongs, and as an evergreen resource of inspiration, that it was always destined to be.
