Though a ways inland, Arizona can be fairly low, 600 m in Winkelman, and therefore hot as hell. When we made it to the town of Pine, where pine trees actually grow, we were stoked to see the elevation back up at around 1,600 m and then added 500 m once we stepped up over the famous Mongollan Rim!
