How many times will I have to learn, east faces just don't work. Yes, perhaps on the right day, but certainly not when I'm around. Throughout this entire expedition, the prevailing west winds have thwarted all efforts of reasonable east and south launch attempts, sometimes resulting in desperate moves such as this one. On east face of Circleville Mountain, despite the great instability and the west wind forecast to be only 10 km/h, the constant backwind held me hostage for three whole days until I just said f**k it and launched in the tailwind, feet moving like my life depended on it.
