The Great Lost River Range July 24th, 2019

After a non-stop, blister-popping, 100 km jaunt across the flats of central Idaho we feast our hungry eyes upon the southern end of the great Lost River Range. Home to the famous King Mountain and many more than dwarf it, this mighty range marks the beginning of the third chapter of this incredible journey. Beyond here, there were no more gaps, no more flats, just big rocks designed for big flights and the kind of flying that I had become accustomed to in the Canadian Rockies. Though still 700+ km from home, I am beginning to taste the sweetness of a success I had once felt was out of reach.
