As I made my way across a 10 km stretch below the San Francisco Peaks, I was struck by a site I'd never imagined seeing here in Arizona, an aspen grove so wide and thick I felt as though I'd somehow shrunk and wound up in the world's largest cigarette carton. And if they are giant cigarettes, does that make me the butt of all smokes!? (I warned you)
