As I neared the north end of Montana's Flathead Range, I made a bad move and was to hairs away from having to put myself into the trees. And as I closed my eyes, held the speed bar and prayed I would make it out to the main valley, I caught a spot of lift that somehow evolved into the one massive climb of the day. As if conditions perfect for cross country paragliding could come, stick around for 15 minutes, and then leave again, this is precisely what happened on day 142 and this photo captures it perfectly.
