“What gives you the right to be here in my field?” a land owner asked, shortly after I’d touched down in North Fork, ID. “Well, section 102.1 of the Blah states that…” I stopped myself. While my mother worried more about guns in the United States than she did the fact that her son dangles from strings and nylon all day, I spent most of our conversations reminding her that I hadn’t seen a single firearm throughout the four months I’d been on expedition. In the end, the guys in North Fork turned out to be quite friendly and more interested in my journey than the fact that I’d trespassed. We posed for this photo, then they let me go :)
