Beautiful as this landscape may be, mountain weather has a mind of its own. Over the course of this relatively windy expedition, my wind-on-launch tolerance has raised from 15 km/h to 20, to 25. Today’s forecast is for 30 km/h winds and, because they are a rare, southern tail wind, and the following three days will be blowing between 40 and 50, I’ve got a tough choice to make. I know there’s a limit, I’ve been pushing mine and I feel that I’m close.
