Water like Gold April 10th, 2019

The hills of Arizona are dotted with old mine-shafts and abandoned equipment reminding me that, throughout time, human ambitions have thrust us to accept life in even the harshest conditions. Though I cannot imagine a thirst for gold or copper, I know that the miners of old shared my thirst of water and can imagine looking out onto this dry landscape 100 years ago, spotting this line of green and hoping that in it ran the most precious of our natural elements. Water.
