Malawians don't often stress the little things, like seat belts. Though you can always ask to sit in the main area in the back of the trucks, I preferred the novelty of sitting on the cab. I chose this area to establish the School of Dreams because this here is the only serviceable mountain road in the entire country, which means it is the only launch (out of the 14 I have found) that you don't have to hike up to. Trucks head up the road every 15 to 30 minutes and their rates are super reasonable..
Vol-Bivouac - Across the Bugaboos
Only in my wildest dreams ..a Vol-Biv (fly camp) connecting the mighty Slocan and Columbia Valleys.
Inspired by many great adventurers, pushing the boundaries of this niche sport, this was my first time going at it solo and I am still ecstatically grateful at the result.
Thank you for sharing this with me. <3 Ben
