A young by proudly presents me with his home-made parachute toy. Made from a rubbish plastic bag, plastic thread from a torn maize sack and a chunk of maize stalk, the kids here have integrated three items, which previously had no purpose, into a take anywhere toy that can last for weeks and weeks.

Vol-Bivouac - Across the Bugaboos
Only in my wildest dreams ..a Vol-Biv (fly camp) connecting the mighty Slocan and Columbia Valleys.
Inspired by many great adventurers, pushing the boundaries of this niche sport, this was my first time going at it solo and I am still ecstatically grateful at the result.
