
I recall the types of toys I longed for, and occasionally received, as a child: Bright, plastic things, made overseas, each with it's own fantastic commercial. I also recall these toys breaking just in time for me to begin crying for the next item. By contrast, the kids in this photo have been chasing this old bicycle rim around every afternoon for months on end, laughing all the way. And, when they loose interest in this tank of a toy, they will pass it to the next generation, honouring the age old genius that is the wheel. <3 B
Vol-Bivouac - Across the Bugaboos
Only in my wildest dreams ..a Vol-Biv (fly camp) connecting the mighty Slocan and Columbia Valleys.
Inspired by many great adventurers, pushing the boundaries of this niche sport, this was my first time going at it solo and I am still ecstatically grateful at the result.
