Thanks to many major "charitable" organizations, who I will not name, many people have this misconception of the food situation in African countries. Though I have not been to many, I have been to Malawi, one of the most economically depressed African countries, four times and found that it is not uncommon for me to leave the table with anything but pain from having eaten too much. No matter where you find yourself in Malawi, the food you eat has often not travelled more than a single kilometre to reach your plate, has been grown pesticide free and has been prepared with love. I will occasionally post images of the incredible food I find here in order to celebrate a new way of thinking about the food situation in this part of the world. <3 B
Vol-Bivouac - Across the Bugaboos
Only in my wildest dreams ..a Vol-Biv (fly camp) connecting the mighty Slocan and Columbia Valleys.
Inspired by many great adventurers, pushing the boundaries of this niche sport, this was my first time going at it solo and I am still ecstatically grateful at the result.
Thank you for sharing this with me. <3 Ben
