The Weeping Wall July 28th, 2018

Moments earlier I had been stuck low, and half way down the cliffs to the left. Below the Cirrus Mountain watershed, this vertical wall has earned its name from the countless waterfalls trickling down it's 300 metre face. Coincidentally, this is also the most narrow part of the valley and caused a massive Venturi of wind that was sure to ground me half way along my lengthy traverse of Banff National Park, a no-landing zone. With my tail between my legs, I flew back south and gave the spur before it one last shot. Rough at is was, it gave me the climb I needed to continue north and recycle the tears I'd wept into tears of joy.
