The Steel Path August 10th, 2018

Train tracks, I discovered, are often a more direct route than highways or logging roads. Their downside is that the rocks they use to line them create a surprisingly uneven and awkward surface to walk along. Though it took me some time, I eventually trained myself to walk along the rails themselves and was able to keep a solid 5 km/hr on the narrow path.
