After an unforgettable flight over the great divide and the width of Banff National Park, my plans of landing high in the alpine were rained on, quite literally, by the largest storm I've ever come upon while flying. As winds blew a gale and lightning flashed throughout the sky, my ego was reduced from hero to zero and I quickly discovered the merciless nature of the storms on the eastern side of the divide; Alberta Storms.
