The Alps are the birthplace of Paragliding, and for good reason. Not only do they bring together amazing stretches of mountains with relatively good weather, but you can "Go Big" and land in almost any valley if the weather takes a turn.

Vol-Bivouac - Across the Bugaboos
Only in my wildest dreams ..a Vol-Biv (fly camp) connecting the mighty Slocan and Columbia Valleys.
Inspired by many great adventurers, pushing the boundaries of this niche sport, this was my first time going at it solo and I am still ecstatically grateful at the result.
