In my efforts to shed weight, I'm trying these new trail runners from my friends at Oboz. So far I like them for blazing up hills to launch ..but am always struck by the juxtaposition of them before these giant white peaks.

Vol-Bivouac - Across the Bugaboos
Only in my wildest dreams ..a Vol-Biv (fly camp) connecting the mighty Slocan and Columbia Valleys.
Inspired by many great adventurers, pushing the boundaries of this niche sport, this was my first time going at it solo and I am still ecstatically grateful at the result.
