It wasn't until mid-day, once we'd finally climbed high enough to fly, that we realized we would only be able to take in the view. Strong, North winds kept us from launching off South, West or East aspects of the Darchstein here in Austria.

Vol-Bivouac - Across the Bugaboos
Only in my wildest dreams ..a Vol-Biv (fly camp) connecting the mighty Slocan and Columbia Valleys.
Inspired by many great adventurers, pushing the boundaries of this niche sport, this was my first time going at it solo and I am still ecstatically grateful at the result.
