As often as the weather allows, I'll hop in a boat and paddle over to the Bird Sanctuary. Though it's just a stones throw from home, it feels like a whole different planet over there and offers me a fresh perspective on so much that I have to be grateful for.

Vol-Bivouac - Across the Bugaboos
Only in my wildest dreams ..a Vol-Biv (fly camp) connecting the mighty Slocan and Columbia Valleys.
Inspired by many great adventurers, pushing the boundaries of this niche sport, this was my first time going at it solo and I am still ecstatically grateful at the result.
