Thank you Hari. March 7th, 2016

Hari is my Nepali mom.

Eight years ago, I had come to Nepal to learn to fly and sober up. Hari made me food and rented a small room out above her own.

This year, I was shocked to find that the city had taken away her terrace in order to widen the road as part of their expanding tourism initiatives. She was forced to close her Chai shop and room rentals as a result.

I, however, refused to stay or eat anywhere else. She, on the other hand, refused to let me pay upon leaving.

Thank you Hari! <3 B
