I am not comfortable with myself. This I realized in my mid-teens at a summer camp program. The adults placed each of us alone in roped off area of forest for twelve hours and I just about lost my mind. Since then, I have become determined to break though the psychological barrier preventing me from feeling at peace when in complete isolation. During this 52-day expedition I experienced several 7-day stretches without human contact. My best yet.
