Winning at Losing
March 19th, 2016
While I'd set a number of site records during my week of practice pre-competition, nothing could prepare me for the fast, fish-bowl type flying which would occur during the daily tasks.
Simply put, I can't keep up and often end up landing out before reaching the goal as conditions have been getting worse as of late.
While at first I would land in a frustrated rage, I realized how pathetic such a privileged man would look flying around and landing safely with anything but gratitude for that marvellous gift.
Today I've begun focusing on something positive no matter where I land and my interactions with the local people have been so much better.
Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to do with all this buttermilk.
